PURA Frank Augeri Honored with George Dunn Award
(New Britain, CT – May 29, 2025) – Frank Augeri, a Lead Rate Specialist at the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority was awarded the prestigious George Dunn Award for Staff Excellence at the New England Conference of Public Utilities Commissioners (NECPUC) Symposium earlier this month.
The George Dunn Award, named in honor of one of the region’s most distinguished and well-respected regulatory professionals, is presented annually and honors individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication, leadership and service in the public utility regulation industry.
Mr. Augeri was recognized on May 20th for his outstanding contributions to the State of Connecticut and the Authority throughout his career. For over three decades, Augeri has worked in customer service and utility regulation, having served in different roles throughout the years. He has been a valued point person for the public, utility staff, legislative staff and other stakeholders, a professional representative of the agency on numerous boards and commissions, and a true professional while cross-examining witnesses in the hearing room.
“Frank’s name is synonymous with credibility and trust across the board.” said PURA Chairman Marissa Gillett. “He has displayed exceptional dedication, expertise and compassion. Frank has demonstrated what it means to serve the people of Connecticut, always with a deep respect for the process and all stakeholders involved. He is well deserving of this esteemed honor.”
Augeri is set to retire from PURA in August.
