NEW: Sustainable Materials Management Round 2 (SMMR2) Grant Program 

REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS - Applications Due Friday, June 27, 2025

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is pleased to announce the availability of grant funding and technical assistance for Connecticut municipalities and regions through a Sustainable Materials Management Round 2 (SMMR2) Grant Program, Public Act No. 24-151ยง 2(d)

DEEP is issuing the RFA for this current round of grant funding with the objective of providing eligible applicants with the opportunity to receive funding for waste reduction and/or diversion initiatives spanning programmatic, operational, and technical assistance areasDEEP invites proposals seeking grant funds to help municipalitiesregional waste authorities (RWAs)regional councils of governments (COGs), and similar entities in developing and implementing a wide variety of waste diversion and/or reduction programs and initiatives.
